Loganberry Books

Located in the historic Larchmere neighborhood, this Cleveland bookstore first opened in 1994 and has kept readers happy ever since. They have more than 100,000 different titles in stock, including many on women's history and literature. Loganberry Books carries both new and used titles, including some leatherbound books and first editions. If you're not only a reader but a book collector, this is the place to go.

Loganberry books is open daily. Shoppers can join their Perks Program for free and earn a $10 coupon for every $100 spent. Perks Program members also get a bonus coupon on birthdays and extra store credit when they sell books.

Half-Price Books is a family-owned bookstore that sells secondhand books and other media. You can take them your already-read books to sell and go home with new titles to enjoy. The store has a good selection of books on philosophy, martial arts, and animals. The wide aisles and friendly atmosphere make it a great place to shop with kids.

Half-Price Books is open daily. They offer online ordering and curbside pickup, which are great if you're in a rush.

Fireside Book Shop

Fireside Book Shop has been serving Northeast Ohio since 1963. The store has an old-fashioned appeal but in the best way. They not only have a great selection of books, but also countless puzzles, greeting cards, and board games. The helpful staff members can help you find the perfect book, whether you're shopping for yourself or a loved one.

Fireside Book Shop is a woman-owned business and is open daily. Their Trade-In Program is a customer favorite, allowing shoppers to trade in their used books for store credit. Stop by regularly, and you'll always have something new to read.

The Learned Owl Book Shop has been open on Main Street since 1968. Although the shop is small, its selection of books is incredible. The owner knows everything on the shelves and is very helpful. They also have a children's nook and a selection of adult coloring books.

This bookstore is open daily and is within walking distance of many great cafes and restaurants. You could spend an afternoon picking out a book, walking around the neighborhood, then treating yourself to a nice meal.

Horizontal Books

If you find yourself in Cleveland, stop by Horizontal Books and browse their shelves. This shop sells overstock books. If you purchase one, you save 50% off the standard retail price. Purchase more than one, and you save even more. Horizontal Books brings in new titles every day, so there's always something else to discover.

Mac's Backs-Books On Coventry

Mac's Backs-Books on Coventry is a one of the largest bookstores in Ohio. They have three stories of books and community rooms where they host educational events. This shop has a great sci-fi collection and lots of young adult fiction. The entire basement is full of non-fiction titles.

Mack's Backs is walking distance from Case Western Reserve University and is therefore popular with college students. Keep an eye on their website for events such as book signings, writing workshops, and live readings.

Novelty Shop Used & Rare Books

If you're looking for a specific rare or antique book, Novelty Shop is the place to go. This boutique book store sells used, rare, and antique books, along with a small selection of other antique items. You'll find original hardcovers of classics, leatherbound books, and first editions galore.

Novelty Shop has been open since 1999 and is frequented by many of Ohio's book collectors. You're bound to learn something just by stopping in and taking a look around. 

Visible Voice Books

Visible Voice Books wants to make reading cool again. This independent bookstore has a very relaxed, inviting atmosphere and stocks titles in almost every genre. But they also have so much more than books. There's a bar and coffee shop where you can grab your favorite drink to sip while you read. Selections include craft beers from Fat Head and Left Hand Brewing. They even host wine tasting events.

Inside Visible Voice Books, there is also a neighborhood pizza shop called Crust. So, you can enjoy lunch, find a new book, and buy a bottle of wine—all under one roof. The shop is open Tuesday-Sunday.

Now that summer is upon us, there are many outdoor activities that families can enjoy together, such as biking, hiking, picnics, sports, and more. American Sign Museum

There's little doubt that the American Sign Museum will be one of the most unique attractions you'll visit in the Cincinnati area. Although the art and history of signs and sign-making might not seem like something kids would enjoy, we think they'll love the spinning signs, flashing lights, and pop culture imagery. This is a great way for kids and adults to learn about something that's just a little unusual.

Castle Skateland

Even though roller rinks may not be as trendy as they used to be, they continue to be a fun time for kids and adults. Castle Skateland is a family-owned and operated place of entertainment and features the largest skate floor in the greater Cincinnati Tri-State area. Its bright and friendly atmosphere will be very welcoming on a rainy day, and you can also treat your kids to a variety of music, arcade games, food, and drinks.

Arcade Legacy

While your kids probably have plenty of console games at home, you simply can't beat a good, old-fashioned arcade. With more than 60 arcade games and pinball machines, gaming console stations, and giant projection screens, the only bad thing about Arcade Legacy is that your kids might not want to leave. You can also check out the media store, where you'll find movies, comic books, board games, action figures, artwork, and other collectibles.

Mosaic Climbing provides an exciting indoor adventure for kids and adults of all ages. If you've never been there before, that's perfectly fine. You'll go through a short orientation and be given access to different climbing areas designed for a variety of skill levels and ages.

Recreations Outlet

We're going to cheat a little by adding the Recreations Outlet to our list because it's such an awesome place. They feature many outdoor activities like trampolines and playground equipment, but that won't help you when it's pouring outside. But they also offer several items perfect for creating an indoor game room, such as table tennis, foosball, and shuffleboard. This will give you an alternative to keeping kids inside only to watch them play video games all day.

Since being voted the top family entertainment center in the world, Scene75 has had a lot to live up to—and it never disappoints! In addition to a large selection of books, they also have games, toys, planners, puzzles, clothing, and a whole lot more.

This huge indoor playground and party place is incredible. As soon as you and your kids walk into the Run Jump-n-Play facility, you can see their excitement build up as they gear up to start running around everywhere. The facility is filled with swing sets, basketball hoops, trampolines, and more. There's also a large area for birthday parties and other special events.

Carol Ann's Carousel

If you're looking for something simple but fun, head to Carol Ann's Carousel. Not only is this carousel an amazing work of art that features 44 different characters, it's simply a great way for children to have fun and relax. This carousel can stay open all year round because it's enclosed in glass, making it perfect for a rainy summer day. Your kids will even be able to watch the droplets hit the glass as they ride their favorite horse, tiger, or other animal.

Pair your choice with an order of boneless or bone-in chicken wings, available in 10 different sauces. Hours are 5 p.m. - 1 a.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. weekends.

Quintana's Speakeasy

Just as the name promises, you'll feel like you're part of a secret club when visiting Quintana's Speakeasy. The first floor is a barber shop that's a throwback to the classic days of a place where customers make business deals and discuss sports. Head to the hidden bookcase passage in the back that leads upstairs to the bar. Be sure to order the Hemingway Daiquiri with light rum, lime and grapefruit juices, and Luxardo liqueur. Check the website for information about live music shows and special events such as "Prohibition 101 - Learn Hands-On Classic Craft Cocktails." Quintana's Speakeasy is open Tuesday through Saturday from 3 - midnight.

Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant

Mexican restaurants might make you immediately think of Margaritas, but they also mix a mean daiquiri at Don Ramon. Choose from six different fruit flavors that come by the pint, jumbo-size, small pitcher, or large pitcher. The food menu features a wide range of traditional Mexican favorites, from nachos and fajitas to burritos and enchiladas. Customers love the spacious dining room with soft lighting, delightful Mexican music, and friendly servers. Hours are 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily except Sunday when closing time is 9 p.m.

Huli Huli Tiki Lounge & Bar

Their namesake meals come with your choice of seafood, boiled in one of three different sauces and spiced in five levels, from "No Heat" to "OMG." Combos include two types of seafood and three add-ons, ideal for sharing. Daiquiris come in strawberry, pineapple, and mango, with three sizes available. The drinks are bestowed with charming names that are as inventive as the recipes. A Bell Through the Night is a daiquiri for "lovers of meadows and witchy things," made with Echo Spirits rum, jasmine cordial, honeysuckle, and lime. Need some time to decide? Order a Snaquiri, a miniature daiquiri made with bartender's choice. Feel free to bring in off-site food or purchase from one of the food trucks that are usually on hand. Lost & Found OTR

One customer aptly described the ambiance at Lost & Found OTR as "a work of modern pop art." The bar is housed in a four- to five-car garage attached to a home in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Funky furnishings and accessories, including the colorful mural in the front patio bar, are almost all works of local artists. Stop in Wednesday through Sunday for "Easy Hour," with special pricing on pitchers of daiquiris, mules, and Margaritas, as well as snacks and sandwiches. Spacious and stylish, Igby's proudly proclaims that "the drinks are cold, but the hospitality is warm." The 7,500-square-foot Civil War-era building features two floors of bars, with balconies around the atrium for good visibility. Each level also has an outdoor balcony, one facing Sixth St. and the other with a bit more privacy. Giggle Water is their take on a daiquiri, featuring a blend of Bacardi Dragonberry Rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and tiki bitters, topped with Prosecco. Small and large charcuterie boards make tasty companions to the craft cocktails. Hours are 4 p.m. - midnight Monday through Thursday and 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Cedar Bog Nature Preserve

Thousands of years went into the creation of Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. The 45 acres formed by retreating glaciers actually constitute a fen, which is a wetland that drains water, as opposed to a bog, which retains water. In addition to being designated as a National Natural Landmark, Cedar Bog has the highest ranking of any site in Ohio on the Floristic Diversity Index for its wide range of plants. Cedar Bog is also home to more than 40 endangered, threatened, and rare plants and animals. Nature Center hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until October 31, but the boardwalk is open daily during daylight hours. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for ages 6-17.

Malabar Farm State Park

Louis Bromfield was the classic local-boy-makes-good, becoming a Pulitzer Prize-winning author moving in the same circles as Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein. When Bromfield decided to reinvent himself as a farmer, he came home to create the eponymous estate that is now Malabar Farm State Park, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Tour the "Big House," which once hosted the wedding of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, and visit the adorable animals that live in the Main Barn. Other activities include hiking, fishing, and picnicking. Park hours are 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily and admission is free.

Historic Loveland Castle & Museum

Travel back in time to medieval Europe with a visit to Historic Loveland Castle & Museum. This faithful replica of a 10th-century castle was intended to be the base of a group of Sunday school students taught by WWI vet Harry Delos Andrews. As a medieval warrior buff, Andrews dubbed the group, "Knights of the Golden Trail," and began construction on the castle for its 100+ members. After touring Loveland Castle and its display of medieval weapons, stroll the surrounding gardens and have a picnic lunch overlooking the Little Miami River. Hours are 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily through October 31. Admission is $5 with no charge for ages 5 and under.

Rabbit Hash General Store

Rabbit Hash is one of those classic slices of Americana where you might expect to see Sheriff Andy Taylor and his son Opie heading to the local fishing hole. The unincorporated community, which takes its name from a beloved local dish, has a population of just over 300 and the mayor is a French bulldog named Wilbur Beast. Visitors are drawn by Rabbit Hash's quirky charm and quaint downtown, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Rabbit Hash General Store, with its eclectic mix of merchandise and nostalgic feel, is the heart and soul of the community. Hours are 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily.

Caesar Creek State Park

With its scenic setting, numerous amenities, and variety of activities, Caesar Creek State Park is like a giant summer camp for all ages. The main attraction is a large lake that features a marina, launch ramps, and dock rentals for boating, along with opportunities for swimming and fishing. Other outdoor activities include hiking, horseback riding, and archery. Pioneer Village is a unique living history museum consisting of a blacksmith shop, pioneer schoolhouse, and other buildings depicting life in the early 1800s. Caesar Creek State Park is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. and admission is free.

After the Aufdenkampes purchased the farm from its original owners, they became a fixture at the Cleveland Produce Terminal, selling their fresh fruits and vegetables. Strawberries have been the primary crop since day one, with peaches, sweet corn, and other fruits and vegetables added over the years. Maurer Farms offers u-pick strawberries and raspberries, and their on-site market sells their own produce along with products from other local farmers. Folck Family Farm

Berry picking season kicks off in late spring with strawberries, followed by raspberries in June and blackberries in July. After growing up on dairy and cattle farms, owner Bob Folck had a successful career in sales, but he couldn't resist the call of the farming life. Bob and wife Cindy began growing berries in 2003, and in 2018 they opened a winery and tasting room selling wine made from the fruits of their fields. Doran's Farm Market

In the 1970s, Farmer Jim Doran sold his produce right out in the front yard from one of the wagons that are such a nostalgic part of Americana. Fast forward to 2022, and Doran's Farm Market is a popular destination filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, baked goods, and beverages. Customers also have the opportunity to pick their own strawberries and other select produce. Irons Fruit Farm

A trip to Irons Fruit Farm is truly an event. Since its beginning in the early 1900s, the farm has expanded to include pick-your-own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, and pumpkins. The on-site market and bakery is known for the signature cinnamon cider donuts and apple fritters. They also carry jam, jellies, and other specialty products made from produce grown on the farm. Stokes Berry Farm

For more than four generations, Stokes Berry Farm has been a fixture in the Cincinnati area. Visitors can pick strawberries and black raspberries from the lush fields or preorder white Georgia peaches, tart Michigan cherries, and other fruits for convenient pickup. The whole family can enjoy a stroll along the creek or catch-and-release fishing in the six-acre lake. Don't forget to bring a picnic lunch! There is a $25 fee for a three-hour fishing pass. Located in a scenic rural area, McGlasson Farms is rich with family history. After moving west from Virginia in the 1860s, the McGlassons built a log cabin and began farming the land. Today, McGlasson Farms even has a devoted following of customers from all around the region. Visitors can join in the fun picking their own strawberries, blackberries, and other fresh produce. If Granville reminds you of a town in New England, that's no coincidence. Settlers from the East Coast planned the Ohio community using familiar concepts from New England villages, right down to sharing the name of their original hometown in Massachusetts. Granville's layout follows the traditional grid pattern, with two major thoroughfares meeting in the center at the town square. Several original buildings, including churches, inns, and private homes, are still standing, with more than 100 listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The downtown business district, part of Granville's established historic area, includes boutiques such as Cedar and Thread, featuring clothing and home décor, and Green Velvet of Granville, a Parisian-style shop with an eclectic mix of merchandise. German Village

As its preservation society proudly proclaims, you don't have to live in German Village to feel like you belong. Located just south of downtown Columbus, German Village is the largest privately funded preservation district on the National Register of Historic Places. Though technically not a town, this neighborhood has gained worldwide recognition as a premier example of successful restoration, retaining much of the same character and appeal as it displayed during its origins in the mid-19th century. The Book Loft of German Village, housed in a pre-Civil War building that takes up an entire city block, is worth a visit all on its own. A favorite holiday tradition comes to life at A Christmas Story House & Museum. The green-trimmed Victorian in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood has been restored to the same appearance it had as the Parker home in the classic holiday movie. Megafans can actually spend the night sleeping in Ralphie's and Randy's beds in the home's private third-floor loft. Across the street is the museum, which holds memorabilia such as props and costumes, and the gift shop, where you can purchase a leg lamp of your own. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $15 for adults and $11 for ages 3-12.

International Women's Air & Space Museum

Aviator Amelia Earhart and astronaut Sally Ride are just two of the pioneers whose accomplishments are honored at the International Women's Air & Space Museum. Exhibits such as "Women of NASA" and "Link GAT-1 Flight Simulator" are part of the museum's goal to showcase the history and culture of women in flight for current and future generations. Museum hours are 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily, while the gift shop is open weekdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is free for all visitors.

One of the top items on Lucky Cafe's lunch menu is the Mac-N-Cheese. Made with cheddar, brie, and parmesan, it's both gooey and flavorful. Guests also love the Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Triple B Salad, made with beets, blue cheese, and bacon.

The Vegan Club

Cilantro was voted to have Akron's Best Thai & Asian Food in 2020. The restaurant has a fresh, modern vibe and a dedicated lunch menu. Table Six Kitchen +  Bar is a modern gastropub serving unique interpretations of American comfort food dishes. The atmosphere is casual but classy. This would be a great place for a business lunch.

Table Six has a whole street food section of their menu. The Glorious Shrimp Tacos, made with jalapenos and pineapple mango salsa, are an incredible choice. You can't go wrong with the Chicken Tacos either. For larger appetites, the Famous Chicken & Waffles make a great lunch. The chicken is hand-breaded, fried to perfection, and served over fluffy waffles with butter and bourbon maple syrup.

Athens Restaurant

Athens Restaurant is a traditional Greek restaurant offering a delicious selection of sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Athens Restaurant also has a kids' menu with appealing options like grilled cheese and spaghetti.

Here are nine places to consider taking your family for a memorable summer vacation. 

Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Cuyahoga National Park is a 33,000-acre park in Northeast Ohio. Inside the park, you can follow the 87-mile towpath along the Cuyahoga River, admire Brandywine Falls, and take a tour of the wetlands. The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad runs through the park, and rides are just $5 a person. Visitors also enjoy the Canal Exploration Center, where they can learn about the construction and early operation of the canal.

If you're looking for places to stay, there are several options inside Cuyahoga National Park, including the Inn at Brandywine Falls and the Stanford House, a nine-bedroom, historic home.

Those who love an adrenaline rush will enjoy a vacation at Cedar Point, one of the nation's largest amusement parks. Located in Sandusky, the park offers 17 roller coasters, a thrilling water park, and an endless selection of kid-friendly rides. There's also an on-site mini-golf course, musical performances, brew tours, and more.

Cedar Point is also known for its beach. Along the shores of Lake Erie, this beach has soft sand, quiet waters, and paddleboard rentals. There are plenty of hotels in and around Sandusky, within easy reach of the park. Some guests also stay at Lighthouse Point, the on-site RV campground.

Downtown Dayton

Ohio's Amish Country is centered in and around Millersburg in Holmes County, home to about 37,000 Amish people. This quiet community is a lovely place to relax in nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There are several wineries to explore, and guests can go hiking at Oak Point State Park or South Bass Island State Park. Perry's Cave Family Fun Center offers a mini-golf course, butterfly house, and a climbing wall, along with tours of the limestone caves. 

Several ferries offer service to and from South Bass Island from the mainland. Once on the island, most people stay in a lakeside cottage or condo for the duration of their vacation.

Hocking Hills State Park

Hocking Hills State Park is a great place to immerse yourself in nature. The park offers seven hiking areas, including Rock House and Ash Cave. Old Man's Cave is a popular mountain biking trail offering both a medium and hard loop for bikers of various skill levels. The park also offers guided nature tours throughout the week, many of which are designed with kids in mind.

There are cabins for rent on-site in Hocking Hills State Park. They also offer both RV and primitive tent cabin sites. Guests can enjoy on-site dining at Hocking Hills State Park Dining Lounge. The park is a short drive from Cincinnati, making it convenient for weekend getaways.

Downtown Cleveland

Village of Marblehead

Marblehead is known for its lighthouse and the longest continually lit U.S. lighthouse on the Great Lakes. It was also the first lighthouse to employ a female lightkeeper. In the summer, guests can climb to the top of the lighthouse and enjoy a stunning view of Lake Erie and its islands.

Sundry and Vice

Full of gleaming glass and sophisticated wood paneling, Sundry and Vice is a small old-fashioned bar with a classy, almost academic atmosphere. Its front window looks almost like a curio cabinet. Inside, patrons can sit atop the tall leather-covered bar stools and order drinks with captivating names like the Clover Club, the Jade Effect, and the Miracle Finnish. 

In addition to their cocktail menu, Sundry and Vice also serves a pair of highballs made with classic New York Seltzer. You can choose from either mezcal mixed with Root Beer seltzer or vodka mixed with Peach Soda seltzer.

Named for the day Ohio was founded (March 1, 1803), the March First Brewery is extremely proud of their state and heritage. This company produces the locally beloved Astra Hard Seltzer line of products, which was named to celebrate Ohio's under-recognized contributions to the field of space exploration.  

You can visit the brewery and stop by the on-site bar to sample a few flavors of Astra seltzer drinks, including Bomb Pop, Red Cream Soda, and Crush. March First also serves plenty of food to accompany their drinks, including sandwiches, chips, and delicious fresh pizzas straight from the stone ovens of their pizza kitchen.

Fowling Warehouse

Part bar and part bowling alley, Fowling Warehouse might just be the best place in Cincinnati for hard seltzer lovers. In spring 2021 they hosted Cincinnati's very first Seltzer Fest, a celebratory exhibition with nearly a hundred different types of hard seltzer from local and national brands on tap.  

Fowling Warehouse also offers a wide selection of hard seltzer from local partners year-round. One particularly fun menu offering is their Mystery Seltzer, an order which will get you one random can of hard seltzer from a selection of over 30 flavors. Woodburn Brewing

The bar regularly hosts events like trivia nights, live performances, and even yoga classes on the premises. 

On top of their artisan beer, this bar also serves several flavors of Astra hard seltzer, including Pink Lemonade and Baja Blast. They also offer Blackberry Breeze hard seltzer from Ohio's own FigLeaf Brewing Company.

The Comfort Station

Thanks to its offbeat location, The Comfort Station is one of the most distinctive bars in the Cincinnati area. The building was originally built as a public restroom and bathhouse back in the early 1910s and was recently converted into a commercial bar space by the same team that founded Sundry and Vice, another bar on this list. Patrons still enter the bar using the original Women's room door, an excellent touch that makes your visit feel unique from the moment you walk in.

This bright and intimate bar is all about fostering connections, and patrons are encouraged to bring outside food and stay a while if they want to. As for drinks, most are handcrafted cocktails that you won't find anywhere else. For instance, the bar's signature Mass Communicatin' hard seltzer cocktail blends the fruity flavors of strawberry and citrus with more complex notes of ginger and amaro.

Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom

The Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom is a relatively recent addition to the Samuel Adams Brewery, but it has already grown a considerable local following. With both indoor and outdoor spaces for mingling and a growing clientele, this is an up-and-coming social spot for the city's younger crowd.  

The bar's menu is largely focused on promoting their fresh-brewed Samuel Adams beer, but they also offer some Truly Hard Seltzer (one of the other brands owned by their parent company, the Boston Beer Company) and other drinks. Try a few different options as you relax in one of their leather-upholstered armchairs or admire the rustic barrel wall that pulls together their dark wood décor.

Anjou is a very new bar that the owners decided to open after seeing so many of their favorite hangouts close during the 2020 pandemic. While it is still working to establish itself as a recreational venue, its bright, airy atmosphere gives it a unique appeal that should help it to stand out from the local competition. 

Anjou serves Braxton Brewing's VIVE Dragonfruit and Mango hard seltzers as part of their lineup of local beers and spirits. The light fruity taste of these drinks goes perfectly with the cheery surroundings, but make sure you don't visit too late – the bar's doors close by midnight at the latest.

Millions Café

Hartville Kitchen has served up great home cooking for 55 years and has daily "meat and three" specials that are sure to fill you up. Dutch Kitchen centers around an original 1858 farmhouse, beautifully restored and decorated. An addition was built in 1998 to house a larger event room, expanded bakery, and a gift shop. Lunch and dinner options include various chicken and fish options like broasted chicken and grilled orange salmon. For more variety, try the Dutch Kitchen Sampler with broasted chicken, ham, your choice of roast beef or roast turkey, noodles or dressing, corn or green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, a side salad, and homemade bread.

Boyd & Wurthmann Restaurant

Boyd & Wurthmann had its beginnings as a grocery store in 1938. In the 1950s, Boyd & Wurthmann separated the market from a new restaurant specializing in Amish-style home cooking. The original green countertop is still used every day in this cozy restaurant. It remains small, so you might have to wait a bit for a table, but the food is worth the time. Check out the soup of the day, which might be ham and bean, white chicken chili, or broccoli. Entrees include smothered meatloaf, ham loaf, and chicken, and on most days, you'll have about 15 to 20 different pies to choose from, depending on what fruits are in season.

Chocolate and mint pair together so well! This must be a pretty popular opinion because there's actually a whole holiday dedicated to the flavor combination. February 19th is National Chocolate Mint Day. If you want to celebrate, all you have to do is enjoy your favorite chocolate mint treat. There are a few great places in Columbus serving chocolate-mint creations too.

Graeter's Ice Cream

The obvious choice at Graeter's is the Mint Chocolate Chip. It has Oreo cookie crunchies for a unique touch. Another option is the Peppermint Chip Wheelies. These are ice cream sandwiches made with chocolate chip cookies and pink peppermint ice cream.

Their Mint Chocolate Chip is also delicious and quite classic, and of course, you can't go wrong with the Mint Oreo. Each is individually heated and decorated in a different theme inspired by local treasures, such as parks and farms. You won't want the evening to end, and at Wishmaker House, it doesn't have to! The main house is a charming bed and breakfast with rooms that bear inviting names such as "Starry Night" and "Velvet Rain." Wishmaker House is also one of the stops on the popular Wine and Ale Trail.

Thanks to the heated igloos, the award-winning outdoor patio at Georgetown | Vosh can be experienced all year long. Each level of the patio also features a fire pit for extra coziness. Choose from elegant table dining or a more casual setting with couches and a coffee table. Georgetown | Vosh serves upscale American cuisine with small plates and entrées such as Maine lobster pizza and short ribs. The five igloos seat up to eight people each for two hours with a rental fee of $45. Two seatings are available Monday through Thursday, and three seatings Friday and Saturday.
